    From David Guetta’s meteoric rise to world stardom, to Swedish House Mafia’s “One” collab with Pharrell, to Deadmau5 spinning the MTV video awards, to just about every top 40 artist borrowing elements from electronic music, to Electric Zoo selling out in only its second year, and the world’s top electronic music talent passing through NYC on a weekly basis…if you haven’t heard, or been living under a rock somewhere, electronic music is BACK, stronger than ever, and its taking over nightlife in NYC and everywhere else. Well, we’re about ready to throw our hat into the ring and make our contribution to the movement, and get some bodies moving in the process.
    EDM is a new electronic music events planning and promotion group with a unique vision. We’re a group of friends, some of whom are DJs, some promoters, all diehard electronic music fans whose tastes run the genre’s entire spectrum, from techno to dubsteb, and that’s what makes our vision special. Every sub-genre of EDM has one main goal: to get people on the dance floor and having fun, and with that same goal in mind we won’t be limiting ourselves to just one style of electronic music, our events, like our tastes, will run the spectrum. One event might be an electro party and the next one trance; some events we’ll mix up the bill. We’ll book talent from overseas and we’ll give local DJs time to shine. The idea is to try as hard as possible NOT to miss an opportunity to show people a great time, dancing the night away to great music.
    Cheric and Rai, both veteran DJs with more than twenty years combined experience spinning at premier NYC venues like Pacha and Webster Hall, are doing major things right now both as individual artists and a high-power DJ/production team. Cheric is still riding high from spinning two sets at the Miami Groove Cruise 2011 in January and word has it the crowd went bananas when he dropped his and Rai's electro/dubstep bootleg remix of Bruno Mars’ Just the Way You Are.
    While Cheric was demolishing the Groove Cruise, Rai was tearing up the basement at Pacha with three hours of bangers that had everybody’s feet throbbing the next day from stomping too hard! More recently, the two teamed up to spin at National Underground and closed for Roger Shah at Webster Hall.
    Since they began producing tracks together late last year, they’ve released some serious work, including the above mentioned Bruno Mars bootleg, and a brand new vocal house track featuring Armada Music recording artist Lira Yin (there’s a tech trance remix as well).
